This robin was perched on a wood fence, I had a camera and took photo after photo of this beautiful bird, that didn't seem to mind me pointing the camera at her. I know she is a her, because I found out she laid eggs in a nest, and a year later she returns to lay eggs in the same area, but this year a snake is seen wrapped around the nest and ate her babies. I read that the robin is attracted to the apple tree, and we have had an apple tree on our land, so this became the inspiration for a flowering apple tree branch for her to perch on. This is an acrylic painting, brushworks by my hand, on acid-free watercolor paper, meaning the art paper is archival quality. As of February 1st, 2023, one of our daughters and I are aiming to be daily painters. My artworks are original paintings, brushworks by my hand, and I aim for the style of realism. I get inspiration from our travels about the United States in the past 23 years and I have taken many photos, and they are the inspiration for much of my art. My passion is for garden flowers, wildflowers, landscapes, wildlife, birds. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is the inspiration for my landscape paintings.
