The inspiration for the mountains and the bear in a tree are the views in Cades Cove of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. These black bears climb the tree for a place to sleep, while there are a long line of cars below. The left side of the painting, a picnic table, and two stools hewn of stone with steps leading to the picnic area, all from my imagination. And I love and enjoyed painting this scene, brush works by my hand. About Rosie Foshee
As of February 1st, 2023, one of our daughters and I are aiming to be daily painters. My artworks are original paintings, brushworks by my hand, and I aim for the style of realism. I get inspiration from our travels about the United States in the past 23 years and I have taken many photos, and they are the inspiration for much of my art. My passion is for garden flowers, wildflowers, landscapes, wildlife, birds. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is the inspiration for my landscape paintings. At the Smoky Mountains, in Cades Cove, we see the black bear and deer, The deer, here at home, has made a trail through our land.
