Description
The inspiration for the mountains and the bear in a tree are the views in Cades Cove of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. These black bears climb the tree for a place to sleep, while there are a long line of cars below. The left side of the painting, a picnic table, and two stools hewn of stone with steps leading to the picnic area, all from my imagination. And I love and enjoyed painting this scene, brush works by my hand.
