Walls of The Word

I have had this on my mind for a few years, a ministry where homes are filled with wall decor, that invite family & friends into the Word of God.

My Dad lived with us for 12 years, and while he was with us, I invited him into reading the Bible with me Monday through Friday. As days went by, he began going into his room after reading with me, and reading the Bible some more, a Bible that I purchased for him once he moved in with us.

And then I began seeing him on his knees, next to his bed on many a morning. At first I thought he may be having a heart problem, so I walked in quietly, then walked back out, and told our daughter, "He's praying.' Then I bought him a workbook that helped him to grow as a new Christian, and he began writing notes, and one of the notes shared he was praying for his kids. Then later he wanted to talk to our pastor and I called the pastor on the phone to come and spend some time with my Dad, and we found out he was accepting the Lord into his life, and was ready to be baptized.

And when he left us, 4 months before turning 90, he had no issues of sickness, and I felt God had escorted him out of our home, and he was with Jesus, our Savior. To this day, thoughts of my Dad are with me most every day.

One way I can thank the Lord, is by serving Him, where I create from my heart, decor for the walls of our homes with uplifting thoughts from the Word of God.
